aftermarket navigation mounting

i was just wondering where everyone has their aftermarket navigation (non honda, such as a garmin, magellen, tomtom, ect) mounted at, specifically anyone with the garmin nuvi. im getting a nuvi 370, because it has european map built in and i know for a fact the nuvi 350 is a great nav setup, and was wondering where people had them mounted. i was thinking of the storage bin by the 12volt outlet, in front of the gear shift, but am worried it wont get good signal there. also thinking of the dash on the right of the speedo but dont want a cord running to the lighter. any other ideas?
