i was just thinking, we all seem to be incredibly OCD when it comes to everything on the car but i just realized i have my license plates mounted on with some regular rusty looking screws, both front and back.
how are all of you mounting your plates?
i kinda want to use allen bolts but im not sure what size to use
i want to do the same thing down front but im not sure about the laws, since im in the People Republic of California. imma google this in a second now that its brought up. im not worried about airflow since im not boosted:/
on the back the dealer i bought i the car from only mounted the top holes and i didnt like how it rattle when i closed the trunk so i found more screws but they dont even match lol
i coulda figured that. i was just wondering if anyone was mounting their plates in a different way. ive seen mugen plate bolts (dont know if theyre real or whatever) before and i got the idea for this thread
yeah they were like $34 bucks. by the time i pay shipping and taxes, thats a full tank of gas...FOR SOME BOLTS! i started laughing when i saw it. they looked like those hex bolts from ikea but with kanji on it.
I only have to run a rear plate, but I hold it on using Titanium bolts from ballerbolts.com. I have the gold ones, as my plate is black with gold digits.
Sedan here. The OEM front mounting has been scuffing the front of my bumper. Just noticed it, even though I've had it for two years. I was thinking about putting it lower, but it would angle downwards. Is there a better way to mount it there besides Zip Ties? Those will eventually wear down right?
in my country we dont use front plates.. it was the back that I removed.
