Removel of H Emblem on Steering Wheel
Hi i know that some of the H emblems on the steering wheel have peeled off. So I wanted to make a DIY on how to fix it.
Tools: razor blade needle nose pliars snips H emblem - I got mine from ebay for $25 The emblem feels a little different than the oem. Its harder than the oem. so start out by removing the fuse for the horn. its number 11 under the hood. ![]() Use the knife and cut the center of the line so you dont damage the air bag cover. Then use the pliars to pull out the emblem. If it doesnt come all the way out its fine because it can be pushed in the airbag cover with the pliars. As you can see i still had a bunch of the white circle pieces left. ![]() I started to cut the right side pins off the emblem because it fit perfect on the left and stuck up a little bit on the right. Eventually i just trimmed all the pins and used super glue around the whole emblem. a pic of the pins so you know what im talking about. ![]() ![]() Now its good as new and i have to order my red h sticker. ![]() ![]()

So you bought a new steering wheel chrome emblem and you're still going to buy a red emblem?
I'd think it'd be easier to just put the new red one on above the removed OEM then you still have the OEM in case you want to put it back. Either way, useful DIY on how to remove the steering wheel emblem.. though you might want to invest in a camera that has a macro setting.
