Man, you guys took all the cool ones! I thought about "keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times" (like an amusement park ride, lol) but that's way to long so it just says "hi Andrew" (my name).

I have a stock lx sound system and you can do a start up message. The reason you don't have one and your screen always says "AUX" is because your stereo is on and it's set to auxiliary input. Turn your car on and push the power button on the radio, the "AUX" should disappear. The next time you turn your car on you should see the factory message, something like "welcome". If you want to have it display your own custom message I believe the instructions are earlier in this thread or you can find them in your owners manual. Just got to the table of contents (near the front) and find "Audio system -without navigation", within that section there's a heading that says "How to change greeting message" or something like that.

I looked in my manual and it says Si models only, but I tried it anyway and it didn't do anything. I'll try again tomorrow morning

Cause only the premium stereo's can, the LX is the basic version and cannot.

i have a lx coupe and when i had my factory stereo in i could change the welcome message so either it's a hit or miss, or you just can't figure it out. try the owners manual again.
