Seems i got caught up in this plasti dip fad thats been going around. I didnt want to do black thought so i got 3 cans of red online and did up the rims. I wasnt sure if I'd have enough so i only did the face of the rims.
Let me know what you think! :wavey: Also, please ignore the saltyness.
Ya no clear coat. I only plan on having it on for the winter. And i got it from dxengineering.com where they have cans of red for $7 which is the best i could find.
It will not mess up the paint, and i would try home-depot online might beable to get cheaper, This is a great product for the winter protecting your wheels from the salt
I just did this same thing to mine. I have a black 09 Si and did the plasti-dip except black. I just did a posting about it on this same forum. It's just temporary until I'm able to get mines powdercoated (also in black). I just wanted to get an idea how they would look black.
i thot bout that then i figured, might as well just get new rims so even if u don like um u can jus switch um back n forth stock to aftermarket.... like two pairs of shoes
I don't know if I would paint the wheels on red, specially having a silver car. I think black would've looked better. I did mine black just a few days ago. That's just my opinion though.
Not bad. I'm actually very happy with Plasti Dip. I painted my rims 6 months ago and they haven't peeled off at all yet (I live in southern CA though so no weather problems). It's a really good idea if you can't afford rims or your car is a lease like mine...
