Fiji Blue Caliper Paint?
OK, I've given up on finding fiji caliper paint. But now I can't decide on a color to paint them. I'll use the G2 kit, and will have 18" HFP wheels on. Who has a fiji coupe with painted calipers? Gimme some pics cause I'm not creative right meow.
Old: Do any forum members know of any true color matched hi-temp brake caliper paints out there? I'm thinking of painting my calipers, but instead of the standard red, experimenting with a combination of Fiji Blue Pearl and Nighthawk Black Pearl. Has anyone seen/used/have an opinion of a paint like this? Last edited by YezzirDoodles; 11-29-2010 at 07:39 PM. |

So after googling for a second, I found out that G2 color matches your paint and for $100ish you can get an epoxy caliper paint kit. HOWEVER, as stated below, they can't guarantee a perfect match. Have any members supplied their paint code and used this kit? How has it looked?
">> Can you color match if I give you the manufacturers color code??? Yes! If you have the color code for your vehicle we can, and will create a two part, high temperature version of that color suitable for your brake calipers or engine. However, the only way to accurately match a color is with the color code and we cannot supply color codes based on color name, make, model or year as we do not have this information, so you will have to supply this information when ordering. Please do not e-mail us requesting a color match for your 2007 Stormy Blue Mica Mazda 3 Series, as we won't be able to help you. We color match according to the color code only, NOT color names. Please keep in mind that we will match the color code exactly with a high temperature two part epoxy formula. This means that, although the base color will be exactly the same, the actual appearance may not match your vehicles finish exactly. This occurs because your car has a basecoat, clear coat finish. It is especially noticeable if you have a metallic or pearlescent color. It is virtually impossible to exactly match metallic and pearlescent colors for several reasons, the most obvious being metallics look very different when brushed on versus being sprayed on. A Custom G2 BRAKE Caliper Paint System™ based on color code can be purchased for $99.99 plus shipping and handling. You can submit your request for a Custom G2 BRAKE Caliper Paint System™ based on color code by clicking the link below and a customer service representative will get back to you shortly with the details." Also, I noticed that DupliColor also offers a color matched caliper paint. Has anyone used this? Results? Last edited by YezzirDoodles; 04-18-2010 at 02:28 PM. Reason: cuz i cant spel |

No one is gonna make a kit with a Fiji Blue as the color. You have your basic colors, like red, yellow, blue, white, black, silver, and gold. You could probably have some paint mixed somewhere and let them use some high heat ceramic ingredients. I like red. My FBP Coupe has red calipers...and it looks amazing. It stands out and catches people's eyes. Proof...pre-drop pic:
