radar detector

I have a friend - (honestly not me) that bought a new car and is racking up tickets in Detroit. What should he buy? And why? Does anything warn against laser?

Thanks!

The four best radar detectors are Valentine 1, Escort Redline, Escort 9500ix and Beltronics STi. Why, I cant get into detail. They all offer similar performances in the 400-500 dollar range. Laser in almost all cases cannot give advance notice. By the time you get hit with laser, they know your speed. The only thing you can do with laser is jam it, detect it, drop down to speed and turn off jammer.

Cops are smarter than a radar detector. I got one for my bday and put it in just to see if it works or not. 9/10 times cops will be sitting there with their weapon of choice off and just flick it on and get you before you know what happened. Your friend should just slow down or eventually they will take his license away. Seems like a simple choice?

Sounds like if your friend had any sense, he'd just slow down and obey the speed limits. It's not that hard.

Tell him to buy a good insurance policy to prepare for that day he hurts or kills someone.

your friend needs his new car and license taken away. if the tickets aren't teaching him a lesson about the way HE drives, a radar detector ain't gonna do jack for him.
