Red H Emblem for Type R Only

Let me first say that I am not trying to offend anyone who has red emblems. They look fantastic and I would put them on my TW FA5 if it wasn't for one thing. Red H emblems only come on Type R Hondas. So, I feel that wearing them on anything less than a Type R is a misrepresentation. But not as bad as putting a Type R emblem on an a USDM car. Which seems to be popular with the RSX crowd.

for me it's more like a 100 dollar badge that can be jacked with a screwdriver plus I don't really care that much how the emblem looks that much anyway.

The red "H" looks clean i agree...
Now that I think about it, you are right ...The red "H" is for Hondas JDM Type R

Now the "INTEGRA" & "Type R" on USDM RSX's =FAIL

But then again its up to the person who owns the car.
Not really my bussines

i understand what youre saying, OP. i have them on my car purely for the looks. i just think they look better than the stock emblem. im not trying to pretend that i have a CTR or anything...it just looks good. everyone has their own tastes though...

You wont see this thread getting much attention because everyone and their "mama's" have put red emblems on their cars...and hate to admit its a misrepresentation. The majority of the people with Red H's on this site I think would pipe up on how any individual with a Type R logo on thier NON Type R car is a huge rice ball....not realizing themselves that the red H means the same thing.

The first Honda to ever sport the Red H was Honda's F-1 car. Shortly afterwards when the NSX-R was introduced, so too was the red H on their production cars. There after, all Type R's were noted for having Red H badging to signify Honda's racing heritage, and the legendary championship white colour, found on Honda's first ever F-1 Car.

---------------

I completely agree with OP in regards to the Red H, however I also understand everyone has their own tastes. What irks me is when people comment on other people's choice of badging....as if having a Red H is LESS of a misrepresentation than a type R sticker. Both are stupid to the purist.

What about putting a Si badge on a R18? I've seen this. WTF?

I guess it can be argued that the red H emblem is ok for the Si since there is no USDM Type R. But certainly not for a R18.

its the jdm version of the h emblem looks great on our cars versus that chintzy chrome plastic h. I dont think its rice cause its from Honda of Japan, its genuine. Putting type r or anything like that on a si is rice all the way. I think it comes down to personal preference jdm h or usdm h

If it's not a Type R, it doesn't matter if its an R18 or an Si, what makes you think an Si should be able to have a red H but not an R18?...because our Si's are THAT much better?

I bet you if mr. Superbike read this response he would die of laughter because our Si's are absolute garbage compared to the JDM Type R.

So if someone puts an authentic Type R emblem on their vehicle its not rice then? I lol'd.

Thank you for contributing to this thread. The above posters have proved my point perfectly.

Like I said, people with the Red H's will self justify why they have it all day long while calling anything with a Type R badge rice.

I wonder if you guys even read my post [

I didn't say a red H was ok on a Si. Rather I was stating that I can see how someone could use that as a justification for having it.
