good bay area price for sunstrip tint
I live in cupertino and was wondering what would be a good price for a sunstrip tint. i was hoping around 15~30, but i highly doubt it will be around there.
the sun bugs me and visors block the street lights for me. |

There's more to tint than worrying about the price; How YOU can pick a good tint shop
I'd recommend a good 5% film. With or without metal won't matter since such a small amount won't affect RF signal dependent devices. |

NEVER get tints done in cupertino/sanjose Area, it is way to pricey and quality of work/film is pretty bad for the $$ you pay!
I use to have a Bimmer, I had 25% all around tints done for around $250(around San Jose area, forgot what place)... I say if you want a REALLY good tint, drive down to socal (Alhambra area), get a nice/cheap tint with better quality film. I got my SI (coupe) all around tint for $120 (14% charcoal tint, no tax life-time warranty) . But then again your asking for sunstrip... i got it done in Alhambra for an extra 15$... When I got my bimmer a sunstrip in san jose it was like an extra $30 life-time warranty (around, and this was along with my 250$ tint, if you get separately expect more, so probably like around $50 alone maybe a little more?). ^^ what he said on the previous post, if your gonna get a sunstrip tint, make it 10-5% tint.... -Sid Last edited by DarkSide90; 12-21-2009 at 05:43 PM. |

With the economy the way it is, finding someone GOOD is better than finding someone CHEAP.
To try to make a buck all kinds of hacks and fly-by-night tinters are popping up and cutting corners and dropping prices. Especially the low-cost of just a strip, you're better off finding the best place than the cheapest. What's the price difference between the cheapest place and best place? A whole $20 in this case? I think you'd rather have a clean install with a good product that won't turn purple in 4 months instead of a $10 hack job. The worst part with the fly by nighters, is if there's a problem later on you'll never find them because they'll have gone out of business or moved and changed the name. |
