2009 Si Coupe --->2008 Si Coupe
So I have a 2009 Si coupe (CBP) and I just bought the front bumper of a 2008 model. I decided to go for the change from 09 to 08. Something odd about the 09 models. I've had my Si for a bit over a year and I'm still not feeling that front bumper. I can't wait to get the new bumper. Any idea though where to get the grille? I can't seem to find one through ebay. I'll go through the dealer as the last resort.
Thanks! |

So...nevermind about the grille. After about an hour or so of searching, I found one from College Hills Honda. The only thing is that it's blackhawk pearl. It may not be of much difference to the crystal black pearl once installed. Anyway, finally got what I needed.

like the TS I've contemplated swapping for an 07-08 front bumper on my coupe. I love the 09 sedan front... but not with HFP... I maybe would rather have the 07-08 sedan front with HFP lip.
Threadstarter, good choice. You're not the first. The 09 coupe front end is too "busy" for me. I like it, but the 06-08 is much more subtle. Maybe I'm biased since my coupe was an 08 lol |

You are right. The 09+ coupe's bumper looks like too much is going on with such bumper. The 06-08 looks subtle, simple enough, not to mention that the hfp lip looks mean on that model. |

So, if it's not one thing, is another. I bought the bumper and I got it this morning. I waited until later in the evening to check it. When I opened it, i noticed that there was a crack about one inch long on it. It was right on the passanger side on the inner corner of the headlight. I was so PISSED OFF. I contacted them but they were gone for the day so I emailed them (forgot the damn name of the place). Either way, I'm sure it was fault of the carrier. I may post pics later. Just by the look of it, I think I could fix it with some bondo or something like that, but I wanna get it done professionally.
You think that if I take it to a body shop, they will be able to fix it? I mean, I pulled some videos on youtube and there were others that were worse. Like I said, it's about a one inch crack. I figured that I would spend more money by shipping it back to the seller than just getting it fixed locally. Anyway, thanks for your input. |

Here are some of the pics. The second pic is up-close so the crack may seem a bit large. ![]()

that's not acceptable. you paid for a product which was promised to arrive in new condition. they should replace it for you at no cost which means you shouldn't have to pay it to ship it to them. contact them and tell them the situation. good luck.

Well they were nice enough to respond to me earlier today and told me to file a claim against their claims dept. They said that the claims dept. will instruct me for settlement or other claim options. Maybe they will refund part of the money I paid, which would be ok to get it fixed.
Their return policy (which I did read before I purchased it) was that they inspect everything prior to shipping, and if there was damage then it would be responsibility of the carrier. If I sent it back, it's just gonna cost me even more as they clearly said in the policy. It may work out though. I mean, it's not that big of damage so I just wanna know if a shop could fix it. I would think they can. Anyway, I did file the claim so I guess I'll see how that turns out. They didn't make a big deal of it though. They said to give them a brief description of the problem and some pics. |
