skunk2 vs. m1 abrams/circuit hero

hey everyone, i am looking into buying a weighted shift knob and after reading the shift knob thread, i've narrowed it down to the skunk2 or m1 abrams/circuit hero. i'm afraid that the skunk2 might be a little small (i usually shift with my hand on top of the shifter), so maybe the round style might be more comfortable for me. i was wondering if there was someone on here that has felt these knobs and can compare them directly (textures, feel in hand, grip, etc.) any recommendations? suggestions?

skunk2 and the m1 are heavy knobs. I don't think the circuit hero is heavy like those. s2 is pretty similar to the stock knob.

i liked the feel of the s2 knob, it was smooth and didn't feel too big or too small for me.
m1 was smooth, but was a little too big for my hand. well before i had the m1, i had the arc knob and that was a little small for me at first, but i got use to it. so jumping from a small knob to a bigger knob felt strange.

i ended up going back to my arc knob. out of those two i think i would pick the s2.

I own a Circuit hero Knob, and had it for 3 years, and yes it does way 440 grams or 14.5oz.

Skunk2 and TWM have similar weights. I've owned both of those knobs.
The Skunk2 is comparable in size to your stock knob, while the M1 will fit in the palm of your hand. I didn't expect the M1 to be so big when I first got it, but it grew on me and it just fits perfectly.

Finish of the Skunk2 is smooth/slippery, while the M1 is smooth/"sticky" (it won't slip out of your hands). The skunk2 knob slipped out of my hands a couple times while trying to drive fast.

I love my knob, it was comfortable, I got used to it very face, the texture is very smooth, its pretty much a polished surface.

M1 abrams is a baddass knob man.. i have it in flat black and i prolly wont ever take it off. i was also looking at the skunk2 but decided to go with M1 cuz i got a deal on it with the full replacement stage 2 short shifter assembly... overall im very impressed.

buy the circuit hero, you won't regret it. it doesn't have the engraving on it, so i didn't use a locking nut on it. i preferred the shape as well, so i had narrowed it down to either the m1 abrams or the circuit hero. circuit hero was a bit more unique, so i went with that.

btw, i had the skunk2. it was okay.

the m1 is heavier coming in at 460g... i also chose not to get it engraved. i like how it sits real low. looks cool. not to mention that once the shifter assebly comes in itll be .75in lower!

did you find the round shape of the circuit hero more comfortable than the skunk2? or did the skunk2 just not feel as good texture-wise?

the m1 has a very sticky feeling to it... it fits perfectly in your hand as well.. i have drove a car with the skunk2 knob and its basically the same size as stock, just slightly different in shape.

the round shape is more comfortable imo. skunk2 knob is pretty close to the stock knob, without leather. only a little different in shape. i can't say with the m1 abrams, but the skunk2 and CH texture would be the same.. theyre both just smoothed over.

i have a skunk2 and liked it a lot over stock but i just ordered the Blox 490 knob which is a spherical 490gram shift knob and hopefully its a little bigger. The skunk2 doesnt fit my hand well (i have larger hands) and i think the round shape will work better

m1 is larger as well.

have owned all three and would list them like this:

1. m1
2. skunk2
3. circuit hero

Really? why do you rank them in this order? I would have thought that the ch is similar to the m1 and those would be ranked similar...
it's really great to get feedback from someone who's had all three that i'm considering
