Si Sedan Parts- When? (Chrome grill sucks!!!)

Hi all,
I'm getting my 07 EX Sedan soon, and after added a small spoiler on the back, my next order of business is to get rid of the damn chrome grill.
I've done a search and read a few threads around here on the subject, and it seems it can be painted, albeit after an incredible amount of sanding, etc. And it still may flake off according to one user.

So, because the Si sedan has a color matched grill as they all should have from the start, I'm thinking I may go that route. But does anyone know how long it usually takes for the parts of a brand new model to become available? I realize it will likely be in quite limited production, but I'm curious about parts availability so I can buy one as soon as possible and paint it atomic blue to go into my sedan.

Thanks so much!

Oh man sorry to hear about that. This sucks- Honda should've come out w an accessory or something- this chrome reminds me of how Toyota royally messes up their otherwise nice cars with that weird schnoz of theirs.

I'll post back if I find out anything- I'm going to try and get a hold of CertiFit too and see what they say.

How did you do yours? Did a body shop do it- and did they sand it down or recoat it in something or what?

I contacted CertiFit to see if they had a different part and their parts go up to about 2004 model years or so now.

Here's hoping for a smooth solution soon!

i just traded my '10 black grille with a '10 chrome. if you keep your eyes peeled, you'll probably be able to make a swap for no charge...
