2009 Civic Sedan Door Edge Guards

Hi everyone,

I just recently purchased a 2009 Civic LX-S and am looking to pick up a set of door edge guards. In keeping order with the cars color scheme, I'd prefer the guards to match closest with the stock 16" alloy wheels. That is, it has to be a cool silver/metallic in order for it to help accent the wheels.

However, I'm facing the trouble of finding a picture that isn't stock:

and it's hard to match color descriptions with all of those colors stacked next to each other, so I thought I'd come here and ask you Civic enthusiasts. Will I find these guards cheaper online instead of getting haggled at the stealership for installation? I've seen a pdf floating around that shows how to DIY which I'm more than willing to do. And can any of you provide pictures of the exact guard color I want?

I wouldn't think so. I'd hate to have my entire car blacked out, which I would assume most people would try to do.
And besides, these are just accents, it's not like the strips will ruin the image of the whole car. It's good to have a little variety, methinks

Well good luck to you. I do believe the colors are close to OEM paint.
Maybe the Alabaster Silver Metallic themed ones would match your rims?

Thanks but it's hard to even tell what that is from the pictures O_O.

EDIT:

I totally forgot the color descriptions matched the OEM paints. This helps a lot, thanks. Where can I get them the cheapest online?

Turns out using Alabaster Silver Metallic as an accent to the wheels was a tacky idea I cut out the color swatches from the Civic brochure and slipped them between the door edges in order to test. I came to the conclusion of either matching the black OEM paint completely or to accent a step down the with the graphite gray (Polished Metal Metallic). Something that's not too unappealing to the eye, good looking out 8thcivic.

Does anyone know if the Door Edge Film:

that Honda sells separately as an "exterior accessory" is the same as the film that's on there when you buy your car new?

u kidin me? I took that (dealer installed?) film off to install the door guards! I also screwed up on one of the door's hem sealants. I cut up almost half of the rubber foam so now its yellow innards stick out like a sore thumb. I mean moreso than the others, it looks like a dog chewed it up.
