yea so my car is effed up..

was in a crash. some chick didnt see me while she was switching lanes. i got hit and dragged me to the next lane which got other cars involved. rear and front bumer is practically tearing off. cf hood is bent outta shape.

well i was wondering if the US stock front bumper and the rear bumper cost as much as the fd2 front and rear bumper? i know other parts are involved in the conversion. my fenders were messed up. my grille was also. so pretty much everything that is needed to do a conversion is somehow damaged. do you know if after market products would be covered? and all that other stuff.

info is appreciated. thanks in advance.

doesn't cost the same, but the chunk of change you will get towards the repairs could put a fat dent in the conversion parts........which you would then need to paint.

aftermarket parts won't "be covered"......technically.....but i have seen it done.

does the girl want to keep it out of insurance? and how well do you know the repair place?

puch that sucks. you could try to get the shop to do the FD2 parts, but thats gonna be a decently long wait probably until you even got em

So many accidents could be avoided if people TURNED thier head and checked blind spots before switching lanes.... its not that hard to do!

I mean, your gonna get paid for the price honda sells the OEM parts for. You're also gonna get paid for the labor it takes to paint the parts. It doesn't seem like have anything serious, just a bunch of replaceable panels gone. Bring it to the dealership. Be friendly to the service manager. Tell him what you don't want any cosmetic repairs done to the car, only mechanical. Take the check, pay for the mechanical damage, buy replica parts, get them painted. Should be pretty close I think.

unless his insurance company isnt the type that pays out to the perso to pay the shop. some of them will only pay the shop doing the work directly.
