09 back chrome bar

I have a question back the chrome bar on the 09s. Well first off its freaking fugly to the max imo and I want to get rid of it! So I have been looking for methods online and on the forums to get rid of it. On the College Hill Honda site they have a replacement for the back chrome bar for the 08 style license trim, but its only for EXs and SIs. Does anyone know why its only for EXs and SIs or if i can just replace it with the 08 style license trim anyways?

I'm guessing its only for EXs and SIs cause they have the remote trunk release while DXs and LXs don't.
