going on a long long new jersey trip what tape should i use

ok guys so i wasent sure what section to ask this in so if it needs moved plase do so. ok wdell im going on a 6hr drive to new jersey to an MLG tourny at the Meadowlands huge gaming event my brother is in with the semi-pro teams ok well, i need to know what kind of painters tape to use to tape the **** out of my car becouse the last time i went on a trip with my fit lol there was 100000 dings and nicks on it so i dont want that to happen to my new baby. i know i have to wax the **** out of the car and somone told me not to use the blue, and thay said use the green or somthing? not sure if somone could let me know soon im leaving tomorow thanks or if somone could just email me incase i dont get to look back at this post pwnstar101@verizon.net and thanks again guys in advance

as long as you wax real good you can use the blue, if you can find the green it has low addhesive and use the 2 inch wide not the 1. good luck. have a safe trip.

ok so if i use the blue its not gonna be like ripping off my paint when i take it off if i dont wax it good enough if it leaves some glue on there what would be the best to take it off?

EDIT: and also dose anyone have a pic or can link me to a post where somone taped up there ride so i know where the best places are to tape it up and what should i use over the lights anything ? or just leave them

Adheshive remover. It's what delaera use to remove badges, tree wax, etcetc

it peels right off, no residue left over, no problems

i ran out of tape for the grill lol. and i dont tape up the whole hood anymore

Autozone also has a spray on Bra protecter for trips like that. 1st time i took a trip to LI i came back with a dent in my hood from a rock

paint on these suck. when i dont do it on long trips i get mad rock chips. i already use touch up paint almost every time i wash my car. probably wait a yr and respray the front end if its gets entirely too bad.

but it is worth the time, i can tape up the front(half hood, fender, bumper) in like 20 mins. its not that bad. first time i did it it took forever but was clean as ****

ill probably give it a try. its cheaper than buyin the tape lol. they do have washable paint that comes off pretty easy so i dont see why this wouldnt work

2 cans to be safe. and i would recommend taping up and outline on the fenders and hood and tape over the headlights for a cleaner paint job. and cover anything u dont want painted even if it does just wash off. will look a lot better

ok yea now my only problem is finding the stuff lol i looked at wal-mart dident think thay would have it but i even checked auto zone online and it says thay dont carry it either and advanced auto dosent carry it lol anyone know where to get the stuff at like NOW or i mean in the morning lol becouse i cant wait to order it offline.
