Offical DIY for Grafixpressions JDM Steering wheel emblem
To Start I know I'm in the wrong section but it wouldn't let me post in the actual DIY section becase it said i didn't have enough "permission" ***. But here it is anyways, enjoy!
The most important steps you can follow while doing this DIY is not only taking your time but have patience and don't rush things. Total hands on time: 30 mins Wait Time: 1 hr and 10 mins Materials you need include: -Clear silicone adhesive: I purchased mine from Wal-Mart in the automotive section -Goo Gone: also purchased from Wal-Mart I got the extreme but either will work. -Rubbing Alcohol -2 clean rags -Hairdryer (*only if you have to remove and re-apply) (*Only for those trying to re-do the process not for actual first time installation) For clean removal of your emblem start from one lifted edge and work the air from the hairdryer in underneath it. It should slowly begin to lift off and eventually just come right off with no effort. ![]() ![]() ![]() Next try and peel away as much silicone as possible then begin to apply goo gone only enough to remove what can't be pulled off by hand, because I don’t know how it will affect the color of the surrounding trim. ![]() (*START HERE FOR FIRST TIME INSTALLALATION) Prep the area by cleaning with the rubbing alcohol, I used cu-tips but any type of cloth or cotton ball will work. After it has dried thoroughly apply the clear silicone adhesive, very little on the H itself, just for the fact it will be touching the overlay first, and distribute an even layer around the H inside the existing chrome rim(*DON'T OVERDO IT OR ELSE IT'S GONNA BE A STICKY MESS*). Allow the adhesive to sit, I waited 5minutes but you could wait as little as 2 mins if you’re really strapped for time. Doing this will ensure a perfect factory placement. After the silicone has set position the emblem so that the existing chrome outline can be seen all the way around the emblem. Finally, let it sit for at least an hr and come back to it with a damp cloth and clean the area. (Note: If too much silicone was used and it is clearly coming out around the edges of the emblem use goo gone with a q-tip to ensure detailed removal, and then clean.) ![]() Hopefully this DIY has provided you with the tools to apply your new or existing Grafixpressions overlay to factory standards Thanks for reading |

I tried to put it in there originally like I said at the top but it didn't let me becuase I didnt have access to do so. Hopefully an administrator can help me out and either grant me access to post there or just move the thread entirely for me. An thanks the edges were driving me crazy and after I took my time it really came out perfect 10x better than the first time.

Idk if I would use silicone but I'm sure it works.
After my v1 emblem from GRFXP didn't stick I got a v2 emblem from them and I cut out pieces of 3M double sided adhesive that fit in each opening of the H badge (covered up the black sections). The pieces of double sided tape created a level surface for the emblem to adhere to and the fact that it is sticky helps also. I installed it months ago and have never had a problem... |

^You can do it that way but the sponser from grafixpressions said that the reason they stopped including the double-sided tape in the pacakage is because it had a tendency to not stick to it after a while. But let us know how it works on in the real long run of things...

^I really don't suggest it just because if you ever want to take it off for any reason ur steering wheel is going to be ruined...but I guess it could work if you decide to go that route tell us how it turns out

Just did mine today. Today is pretty crappy out though, cold and rain/snow mix. I wanted to wait till it was a little warmer but I couldn't lol. It looks good but one of the sides didn't stick completely flush against the steering wheel so I imagine I'll prob. have to re-do it.
