It is "Porsche," of course, and pronunced: "Porshh-uh."

B-M-W or beemer or bimmer?

It is "Beemer" (or Beamer) for BMW Motorcycles, and
"Bimmer" for BMW automobiles. I belonged to the BMW Club of NA way back in
'96 when I had a Bimmer 3281s coopay.. )

Oh yeah!... try pronouncing "Citroen Deux Cheveaux" or "Traction Avant!"

Tybeedon, who speaks four languages: German, French, English and Profane -- only fluent in the last one! (People who say "Porshh" for "Porsche", leaving off the last 'uhh sound,' drive me nuts -- it's no longer an unknown "werd." Heh..heh )

Ack, wrong pronunciations thrown around.

Mugen is not moo-gen. The oo sound is shorter, like "book" or "put" rather than "food" or "ooze". The emphasis is on gen, so it would be mu-GEN. MOO-gen is wrong, and it's often pronounced like that.

5zigen don't believe people who say it's pronounced Go-zee-gen. The Zee sound doesn't event exist in Japanese. It sounds like Go-G-Gen (as in the letter G). Again, the emphasis is on the "gen" so it would be pronounced like "go-gee-Gen." The "gee" is very short, almost sounding like an "i" as in "big".

Nismo Ni-sue-moe. Pronounced faster it sounds like Niz-moe.

Honda In Japanese it sounds more like hone-da. Mazda is called Matsuda in Japanese.

I used to pronounce Mugen as Myu-Gen (like Mu in Music).
Recently my father looked at the Mugen written in Japanese and told me
it should be pronounced Moo Gen (like Gang without g)
He said that the word "Moo" means nothing in japanese. I forget what Gen meant tho..

Yeah, my Japanese friend corrected me a long time and told me Mugen in Japanese is Moo-Gen. Where the "Gen" is pronounced like "gan" rather than "gen" in generation.
