Opinions on Body Kit for my Si

Opinions before I buy a a kit.. See I will have a large chunk of change avail for both preformance and cosmetic upgrades avail soon.. Now I want a body kit. I currently have the full HFP kit (which I will sell for like 200 or 300 bucks when I get the body kit =P) and too many people have it. I want something unique but not too ambigious if ya know what I mean. I was thinking of the CorSport kit, 675 unpainted, maybe 1000 painted not sure if it is too much though for the Si.. My 968 Porsche has the lip with attached lines and I have always liked that look for track cars. I will not be going for the wing, just the side skirts, front and rear bumper.. Main reason I am wanting a body kit is.. A) Too many people with HFP now and I like to stand out B) The slight rock chips on the front bumper of my current car (not bad at all).. C) When I went to remove the damn stickers for the I vtec the other day, the paint nicked coming off and there are lines which appears to be clearcoat under the stickers and although you cannot see it unless you are at extreme angles like on the ground looking at it straight on while it is hitting the sun, it still bothers me.. The dealership will not fix it because they think I caused the dmg (I was using a hair dryer to heat it up and some fishing like to start the sticker coming off) but the stickers came off twice and I had them reapply them I am thinking they put clearcoat under the stickers (that is the only thing that I could explain it as) so I would not have them blown off. After attending the tail of the dragon meet I saw my car would look a lot cleaner with them off, and boom that is when I ran into the problems of taking it off. They had to put something behind them, never have I seen the goo-gone + heat fail to take off a decal cleanly.. It took around two hours to get all the gook off the part and I was left with what looks and feels like clearcoat brush marks from touch up paint and some small nicks in my paint which I touched up, you cannot even see them but ya know I can see em =) So let me know if you think this would be too over the top, I am kind of digging the kit though, but have no idea what the rear looks like.

EDIT: If anyone wants to post some other kits I am all up for looking that them.. I am trying to figure out what that CorSport dragon kit looks like from the behind. I like not too obnoxious of a kit but I also do not like too steath of a kit.. Plus the quicker I find the kit, the quicker you guys can fight over a 400 dollar HFP full kit in Habenero Red =P

Thanks guys,
Jeff T.

You'll defntly stand out with this body kit.

IMO, it's ugly, but its YOUR car.

I'm just adding the front HFP kit on my 07 if I can't find a nice lower lip by then. Rear of my car is a surprise.

Yeah some people do not like the lip connecting to the bumper, me from american lemas car backround love it as it mimics the racing lips.. Then again I have not seen the rear of the kit at all =P I kind of like this one as well but I am still unsure. The faster I find the kit I want and get it on the faster all you guys can fight over pieces of my HFP kit.. I say price it painted habenero as it is for 500 for the full set and let the battles begin =P

EDIT: I am stupid, the raven is the same as the dragon kit lol I guess I know what the rear looks like now.. We it looks exactly the same in the front =P

the raven isn;t that bad.. I am not gonna drop like 1k + on the kit unpainted like the toruen that is just plain stupid heh here is the raven

I need all body kits avail posted by someone heh cause I am torn not sure what the hell I am gonna get, I still like the first kit good skirts good front (to me) but I have no idea what it looks like from the rear or sides...

Found a picture of the whole kit now finally.. Looks pretty decent, I do not like how large the ducts are in the front but that's just me...

I'd wait a few....IMO all the kits that are out are garbage looking. There is bound to be more kits in the pipeline for us.

Dude dont get a body kit seriously...those body kits are ugly as hell. Keep with the stock look, its awesome the way the car looks stock, from the factory. Why put a hideous ass looking aftermarket bodykit on it, and ruin the nice look of the car?

Please don't do that to your car. It is YOUR car, but you're asking for opinions and my, and I'm sure just about everyone else's, opinion is that you can probably find better. Just give it another few months or so.

If you really want to go this route, I'd wait as well. All these kits look large and unwieldy. Like, one scrape, and the entire bumper's off because it's so big. It also looks like they're trying too hard. Again, I'll wait 'till something comes along that's a little smaller, and probably more befitting the lines of the car.

Oddly enough, the best "aftermarket" bumper I've ever seen turned out to be the JDM EK bumper with the bumpguards on it, and a simple CF Type-R lip.

I might wait until all my speed is satisfied with N/A mods right now =) The kits do not seem to match the lines up very well at all.. Thanks to skitt I found a very smoking deal on headers, exhaust, intake, and reflash in a package so I think I am going to go with that first then some springs, sway bars, rotors, cams, etc.. go before show =)

Does the camber of the rear wheels in that car look crazy inward to anyone else? Maybe it is just my eyes =)

a little in the top pic. It kind of looks photoshopped to me though. You should just forget a body kit and throw on a carbon fiber lip kit (thats what im waiting for on my SI).

Just kind of curious what brand of I/H/E is it in that package.
