09 grill on 06?
Two questions, just want to make sure this works. Will an 09 grill fit on my 06? Same screws, etc? And second, does anyone know where i can get an 09 non si grill for the coupe? Thanks.

well lets see... 1. i dont have access to an 09.... all i've seen are pics online or quick glances at the local dealership who never seems to keep coupes instock.
2. i have 3 jobs and pretty much no time to spend hours searching this and other forums/sites, however i did search this one for about 45 minutes to no avail. 3. if you're sooooo damn sick of these threads, dont look at them. seriously does it bother you this much that someone posts on an 8th gen civic thread to find something out that they dont know about an 8th gen. i didn't ask if they LOOK swappable, i asked if they WERE, hoping for an answer from someone who knows, not someone who "looked" at a couple of pics and made an uneducated guess. if they dont swap then they dont swap...not a big deal. thanks for the input but you dont have to be a **** about it. prego, thanks for a simple and to the point answer, it was much appreciated. |

Its my understanding that if you swap the front bumper it will work.
1) buy 09 bumper 2) buy 09 grill 3) install. I'm not sure but i do know that you can't just buy the grill and swap them out. The 06-08 grills are attached to the bumper whereas the 09's are not. |

OK fine, then I'll fall back on the old "SEARCH"... Your right, I did know what this thread was, does that mean it should exist? No. And you can't tell me you searched it out for 45 minutes... I searched it out for 45 SECONDS which was ample time to find it. Go to search, type "09 bumper" read posts (specifically the first locked one).
My goal wasn't to be a **** but to point out that of all things, the grille of the 09 doesn't even LOOK like it would fit an 08. Square peg, round hole kind of thing. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. |

I'm not as huge of a fan of the new bumpers.... but the one guy who is going to do his fogs in black (on a TW coupe) makes them look a bit better. I'm just not a fan of the sharp angles of the grille. and the whole thing looks too "busy"
