Lip from an older civics fitting our civics?

someone on here gave my an idea.

http://imagehost.vendio.com/a/112575...-HC01TR-PU.jpg

a lip like that may fit our civics with some modification...

now before everyone freaks out...if you dont like this idea please do not post.

if you would like to see what it will look like or think it may work or have any good suggestions please post them in here.

i dont believe there is a thread on this today...

anyways...so a lip from an 01-05 civic or the Si lip of the same years may fit our cars with a bit of modification to the middle section of the lips...if anyone believes the lip would be to wide or short please post dimensions for each cars front bumper.

anyways i just got this idea since i like those style lips on the old civics and i think it would look decent on ours...anyways what does everyone think? with a little fabrication it may work...

^^lol u can say what u think i just dont want people putting down the idea...i know those style lips are "played out" but some of us still like them, im simply trying to find out if one of the older civic front lips can be made to fit, mainly the 01-05 will probably match up the closest. ive looked into it and integra lips do not whatsoever work because of the middle section being HUGE. i tested my friends earlier today and i see that its the perfect width its just the middle part would need modified (basically shaved) and it would look pretty nice...

I think someone tried something similar to this a while back. It needed a few inches in the middle and some shaping on the sides.

^^i searched for the thread but i didnt find it (before i posted this)

im not trying to do anything tacky or anything im mainly trying to get an idea if one of the lips for a 2-4 door civic from 01-05 will work, and from test fitting a integra lip and seeing how the lips for 01-05 civics are designed more like our front bumper is shaped i dont see how much fabrication will be needed (assuming that its not to wide...) which i honestly dont believe it would be...

theyre two completely different chasis'. just because theyre both civics doesnt mean parts are interchangeable. but i guess you can try if you want, those lips are dirt cheap.

^^^lol i know they are totally different chassis im not dumb ive been in the honda scene long enough to know whats what. what im saying is the closest lip that looks like it would fit is prly one of the lips off a 01-05 civic that will fit...not sure if itd be 01-03 or 04 -05 trying to determine that from people on here...the lips that bend and **** like the one i posted are prly the best bet since they can be trimmed to fit tight

those type of lips are the ones that will be easy to get stolen.

new hips, especially HFP lips are the ones that make it hard for thiefs to steal them

the problem with this lip is its to jagged and such plus its abs plastic, these other lips like in my OP are prty flexible can be easily trimmed to fit, painted if necessary and they are more rounded and just look like they would flow more than this lip...

i understand the whole theft deterent of the new style lips and such but im not about getting hfp if i find something different that i like personally..
