Polished Metal Metallic vs. Urban Titanium Metallic
Hello everyone!
I am long overdue for a new car and think I am going to treat myself to a 2009 Honda Civic sedan this year. I was looking at the colors on Honda's web site: 2009 Honda Civic Sedan - the Official Honda Web Site I would really like a medium-to-dark GRAY Civic, which means either the Polished Metal Metallic or Urban Titanium Metallic. As far as I can tell from the pictures online, the Urban Titanium is more taupe than gray (too much brown tinge for my liking), and the Polished Metal is more of a blue-based gray (closer to what I want -- that is, a true gray). For those of you that have seen either (or both) of these colors in person, does the Urban Titanium have a really noticeable brown tinge? Is Polished Metal a true gray, or does it have a really noticeable blue tinge? Detailed color descriptions and/or photos would be much appreciated. (I am so not believing the Honda website pictures, they look way overPhotoshopped and the Atomic Blue Metallic looks nothing like the ones I've seen in person.) |

I have seen both in person, side-by-side on the CR-V, and the Urban Titanium definitely has a brown tinge. It's warmer looking than the Polished Metal. Originally, I was going to automatically get the grey one as well, until I saw the Urban Titanium and now I'm not sure. On an overcast day, the Polished Metal looked dull compared to the Urban. I'll have to take a drive by on a sunny day to see the difference.

Urban is DEFINITELY a brown-gray. If you don't like the brown tinge, go for Polished Metal. I have the LX-S in Polished Metal and this is what it looks like in the day/sunlight:
