Question about Si grille for LX/EX
Is the part where a Si emblem is supposed to be attached to (the circled area), is it like visible and gonna look empty? I wanna do a grille swap and, of course, ain't gonna put a Si emblem on my EX. Tnx.

When you take off the Si Emblem from the grill, you will notice that big fat tab there. You can leave it there if you want, but you will see it everywhere you go. When you get up in the morning and get into your car before you go to work you will see it. When you load up your car from the supermarket you will see it. It's very annoying especially if you want your car to look clean. Dont try cutting it off without painting. It's a commitment. If you cut it off you HAVE to paint it. If you don't like painting leave it there. Painting is not hard, just takes a while.

oh it was, i would only notice it if i got near the grille and looked for it. other then that i wouldn't notice it. i think if you left it there it would look like it's missing something. other people have put the civic badge from the back there. i think if you leave it blank it looks the best. nice and clean!

I'm just being anal about it. If I know it's there and I can see it, it bugs me. You can cut it off and leave it but from pictures of people who have cut it off, it's too much of an imperfection to leave it alone IMO. I'm really picky with how my car looks I guess.

i put the si grille and cut the badge off. then i painted the gray plastic part black to hide the marks the plastic tabs left.
i just used some plastic adhesion promoter, primer, and spray paint for plastics. it has held up awesome.
