help with swapped interior

ok basically i have a rbp 07 and my interior is gray so i swapped it out wit a asm 08 for the black interior but now my air bag light is on i took it to the dealership and told me a module in the seat have to be replaced for 501.00 per seat i was wondering if anyone knew away around it

I think if you do more searching you may find your answer.... I thought there was a way to manually re-set this...

Take it to another dealership and make sure he's not BSing you and also do some more searching.... I swear I read something about this once. Maybe check Clubrsx

thanks yea ive been searching mind you i have had the interior swapped for atleast 2 months now and still after 2 different dealers same thing please guys some much needed help

did you just swap out the fabirc or the entire seats and everything?

i would assume the entire interior, including seats.

i dont think recovering the seats in a new material would cause a need for a new module.

try resetting the ecu

never heard of this module $500 something thats crazy. the only thing for the seats that cost that much are the rails. even the airbags arent that expensive. there is something called an opds unit i see on the parts list dunno what that is for. also i dont see why swapping seats would be a prob. there are people on here who have swapped their seats outta another car.

i dunno how the models are but does your car originally come with side airbags? and did the car you got the seats from come with them? that could possibly be a prob if so.

well no that shouldnt be a problem basically what i did was just take the interior out of another fg1 it just had black interior and my rbp civic didn't have it. it had grey

Do the wires not connect? Live with the light.

well im gonna guess its one of your connections. since you swapped the whole interior you are gonna have to check all the connections. check the 4 connections under each seat. check the srs unit in the center console. also a big and overlooked one check the passenger airbag dash light.

if any of those are disconnected the light will come on
