hell no they arent!! i have a seibon cf hood and trunk that i had for 6 months that started fading! at first it was supposed to be silver weave, then few months later it faded to gold. now the clear coat is just completely fading off. i have waxed it a million times and done everything possible to prevent and stop it but nothing. ive had several other cf hoods in the past and even one i had for 4 yrs that never looked half as bad compared to the one i have now after only a few months. even the day i got my hood it had a crack on it. they had a huge seibon sticker covering the crack and when i got home and peeled it off i saw it. i called them the next morning and took it down there to show them and they refused to do anything about it and said it was all my fault. even when they saw that my hood and trunk were fading after 6 months. all he could tell me was that it is a prototype. that is totally irrelevant.. prototype or not, i paid for it and it needs to be made correctly! i went round and round with them and they refused to do anything about it. so idk. i've had many other hoods from them and never had any problems until now. so just be careful i guess if u decide to go with them.
