Help!! Huge gap after HFP front lip installed!

Ok, here's the deal....I ordered the HFP front lip for my FG2 at Honda of Seattle and got it installed there on Saturday. I noticed this while inspecting the car afterwords...this is the driver side.

They tried to put some 3M double-sided tape in there but that didn't help either.

I'm thinking the front lip could be defective ie. bent out of shape....or it was a shoddy installation. The service manager even told me they don't do too many HFP installs.

They also asked me if the bumper was original...the front bumper is a replacement; the original one was damaged in an accident. As far as I know, it's a Honda OEM part. Therefore, there shouldn't be any difference, right?

Honda of Seattle made an order for another front lip....I told them I wanted to make sure the front lip was NOT defective.

But what do you guys think it could be? Defective front lip, poor installation, or my bumper?

you should have pushed from the wheel well area out towards the front of the car... i'd pull it off complete, re-tape it and re-install.
