Fiberglass hoods for our cars

I noticed there is cf hoods for the 8th gen civic. But with a fuji blue pearl si sedan..I dont want the black cf hood look..some do..but not me..so is there any painted fiberglass hoods out there the new civics?

um you do know that... you can paint cf hoods too right?

just leave your super heavy(lol) aluminum hood alone if you dont want the cf look

Fiberglass??? Wouldn't that be worse for a hood than our OEM hood?

ummmm yeah i did know you can paint carbon fiber..but cf fades kinda quickly and you gotta sand it down really really good and clearcoat the hell out of..whats so hard to ask for a dam fg hood..lots of other cars have em out there...and yes im aware the the stock hood isnt really heavy..pretty dam light for stock hood..but still wanna go fiberglass and maybe a vented fiberglass hood to iget cool air into the engine bay. and i dont see fiberglass being any worse for our hood than cf..but who the heck knows.

I'm interested in this idea as well. I wanna get that Seibon CF Hood with the two little vents and paint it ASM to match my car...kinda like the M3 or the EVOX look. I don't know how hard it is to paint the CF and yeah I agree there should be less expensive hoods that doesn't necessarily have to be carbon fiber.

fyi, unless you are buying a real CF hood, all the VIS and Seibon hoods are fiberglass hoods, they just have a cf overlay on top of a fiberglass skeleton.

the only company that i know of that makes a FRP hood is Feel's but it costs the same as a CF from the USA. on top that the shipping would make it even more expensive.

i'm sure the Feel's quality is better than Seibon or VIS though.
