Just some advice

Hey guys, im just looking for some advice on what to do with my 08' 2dr si. I took some light damage to the front, i have a crease in the hood and it popped up a little on the drivers side. The front bumper is noticeably distorted and slightly cracked by the drivers side headlight. I also have a fairly severe scratch on my rear bumper which just appeared there one day. For just the front Honda quoted me $1,500 to repair, not replace, which most people tell me isn't worth it but i don't want to leave it like that. I'm thinking i might as well swap the bumpers out with a body kit but all the ones I've seen are a little to rice for my tastes.

Basically I'm asking if anyone has any ideas or possibly knows of a body kit that doesn't add 100 plus pounds of excess plastic to the car.

Carbon fiber hood, get used stock head lights. leave the bumper alone until it gets worse from parking dents..... that costs around 500 bucks for now?

just get some used stock headlights, please dont get ebay headlights....

carbon fiber hood and just get the bumper fixed when you save up enough money, no kits out there are that great.

Thanks for the replies, my drivers side headlight is actually pushed in slightly and gets humidity inside though it doesn't seem to be visibly cracked anywhere so i might be able to save it. I'm actually going to wash it now so ill see if i through up some pics when i get back.

take out the headlight and let it air dry or blow it dry and get all the humidity out, then put a bead of silicone around the edge.

Here's the front end (don't pay to much attention to the weird dust). The lower grill bulges out oddly and you can see the crease in the hood as well as where it pops up. If you look closely you can see the headlight actually deformed the quarter panel slightly, but its not noticeable enough to justify doing anything about it.

In this picture you can see where the bumper cracked near the headlight and how the headlight is sitting farther in than it should.

Basically im asking if this was your car, what would you do?

omg it doesnt look nearly as bad as you described it! Just get a new cf hood. fix your headlight and get the bumper refinished later on. Its not that big of a deal

Yeah that's pretty much exactly it, lol. I'm thinking of calling the insurance company and saying somebody backed into me, if they say the claim will raise my rates than ill take care of it on my own, i have a $1000 deductible so ill only have to eat 2/3 of it.

Another thing i noticed is they charge up the ass for labor so i'm thinking of calling and asking how much a painted hood and bumper are alone and ill install it myself. Thats only an option provided both parts are less than a grand(i might even be willing to pay a little over since there new) but i some how doubt they will be.

while your at it, why dont you change your front bumper to the 2009 version. Dont know if the stock headlights fit that bumper but they probably do.
