Insanely high prices on CTR seats on ebay

eBay Motors: JDM 08+ Civic Type-R FD2 CTR Mugen Front Seats w/ Rails (item 280258744204 end time Sep-20-08 10:14:36 PDT)

They are just CTR seats, not Mugen ones.

And they go for nearly as much as a set of Mugen S1- R with rails. King Motorsports Unlimited, Inc.

And i love the description on the the ad:

"It will be shipped via EMS or Fedex Internation Air 3-5 days

Retails over $9000 in Japan, Here is your chance to get it at a STEAL Price.

It will fit almost any kind of Honda car with some custom modification of the rails bracket."

9000 bucks in japan? So the car retails for about 27k in japan, and 1/3 of that goes to the seats? That's truly JDM!

Easy, strap it on a one of a kind trained shark to swim it over to the states. Fly the trainer (the only one who can call the shark without being eaten) over to the states to reclaim your seats (now covered in sea isht). Gosh... have some common sense...

The thing is, in the olds days, type rs like the DC2 actually had recaros, these seats look like extra bolstered SI seats, i am sure they are great, but not worth 3k plus massive shipping if they aren't even Recaros. The old ITR recaros were the best!

At this rate the JDM cupholder must be like, what 1500 bucks?

You know stock Si seats go for 1k or so right???

So actually not too bad of a price considering the price of a stock seat. But yeah, def would go aftermarket instead of these.

Price isn't bad, but the thing is, you can get some pretty bling seats for around the same price.

I'd much rather get the Bride Gias. Kevlar back, weighs about 25 lbs a piece. $1,700 for seats plus $185-ish for rails. If you have a buddy in Japan they're even cheaper, at $1200 a piece for seats.
