Yes it is very light. But you can get away with darker. I have 50/35% on my car (VA state law max amount) but now I live in PA with PA registration. I still have my tint on. I'm military police in the reserves. Last week the topic of my tint came up amongst my colleagues. Some felt it was too dark (townies) some said they could care less (city cops) and the state trooper said "it's pretty much up to officer discression." When I said the state law some were like, "it doesn't matter. PA law is none." My point is theres a billion laws out there, they're not going to know every one of them. If you get pulled over and it becomes an issue just go to traffic court. The odds of you getting pulled over for your tint alone are slim. Now, driving like a maniac or 120db mufflers, that's a different story.
