Look up Yakima or Thule, they make kits for the civics.

Thule makes a kit that works. Their Aero 400 xt feet with one of their fit kts will work fine.

I plan on using my old 400 feet (they're the same -- feet for a gutterless roof)

I have a Yakima Rack, and I had it on with one bike and i managed 23 MPG Cruise Control set on 70mph. It was 200 miles round trip. I did the exact same drive without the bikerack a few months ago and managed 30 MPG going 75MPH without Cruise control. I still use my bike rack cause i have to put my cooler and my dog and the Fiance in the car...eventually i'll try to fit a baby in there i think i can manage...or it might be mini van time

Go to Yakima.com

^^^Notice much of a difference with just the rack on? I keep my rack on most of the summer, and only noticed getting about 10 - 15 miles less per tank, which works out to just about 1 mpg. Not enough for the hassle of taking it off and cleaning the car to put it back on every time. I still average about 31-32 mpg (mostly highway) with the rack on.

Note: I did notice that the roof rack killed my mpg on one tank after I remounted it. I adjusted the angle of the fairing so that it layed closer the the angle of the windshield instead of being nearly vertical like in the picture above. Put me back to the above mpg. Having your bike on will kill mpg no matter what...bike = more drag.

I always take the rack off whenever i'm not using it to carry my bike, cause i dont like the look of it. Next time i have it on i'll see if there's a BIG mpg difference with on and off. I know my 2004 corolla lost 4 MPG from my commute to work 33MPG to 29MPG i left the rack on for all SUmmer. Gas was so cheap back then $2.39 a gallon those were the days.

the fairing wont angle down any more than what it is in that picture due to the aero bars. when i had the regular bars on there it laid at the same angle as the windshield.
i made a trip up to atlanta, and used over 3 tanks of gas to get up there with bikes on the roof... on the way down, i put the bikes in the trunk and used around a tank and a half..... using the rack is practical if you are only driving short distances and around town... highway driving is a different story.
i just took it off because i didnt use it as much as i used too. i just throw my bike in the trunk.

if you want bike rack without much loss of mpg, get a hitch receiver and a hitch mounted rack (I have read thule t2 works well).
