Any Interest in CSL Style CF Trunk for Civic Coupe
Hello everyone. Vis Racing would like me to find out if there is any interest in a CSL style carbon fiber trunk for the 06+ Honda Civic coupe (I believe Si and EX/LX models are all the same, but please correct me if I'm wrong). Below is the link to Vis Racing's website with info/pics of the 96-00 Honda Civic CSL style trunk.
http://www.visracing.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=3770 Below are some pics of the CSL trunk on a BMW (couldn't find any pics on a Civic). Gives a general idea of how it looks like. ![]() ![]() ![]() It will be basically a one piece CF trunk with integrated lip spoiler. Kind of a different option vs the OEM style CF trunk with no need to add a spoiler to it or drill into it. If trunk lid goes into production they expect to have the MSRP at $600-$650ish. Turn around/development time will be roughly 2 months. Please give me some feedback whether yay or nay. Also, if there is an interest and it doesn't violate any rules on this forum Vis said I can organize a GB. If I could meet a 10 buyer minimum the price would be $475. The only catch would be that buyers be willing to provide a small commitment deposit. At least a $100 minimum up to half of purchase price. Details to be worked out if there is interest and if the mods approve. Also, a small background on me so you can be sure I'm not scamming everyone's hard earned money. I'm an Ebay member (use the same username as here) with over 115 positive feedbacks (100% rating). Also, I've organized GBs on B15sentra.net, thevboard, maxima.org, and a few other nissan sites (I used to drive a 2001 Sentra SE). The GBs succesfully sold over 60 cf hoods/trunks for the Nissan Community. Below are a few links from previous GBs I've organized as references: http://www.b15sentra.net/forums/show...hood+group+buy http://www.b15sentra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=74530 http://forums.thevboard.com/viewtopi...570&highlight= And last of all my previous car fully outfitted and sponsored by Vis Racing: ![]() ![]() ![]()

On the Sentra I had to drill into the CF for hood pins and I'm telling you it was a heartbreaking experience. Plus you have to go very slowly so the clear coat doesn't crack and run.

omg i have ALWAYS loved m3's with csl trunk lids...and i always wondered since i got my civic if a csl style trunk lid would ever be produced and how it would look for our cars. I would DEF love to see it produced although i would not be able to afford it at the moment because im moneyless being only in high school lol. CSL gets my vote P.S that lsb m3 is friggin hot! |

I personally think it would look weird on the coupes. I think the high rise Techno R spoiler is better suited for the coupes. I think CSL would look fairly decent on a sedan. The only reason I think it would look rather bad on a coupe is because of the way the trunk is shape, it has a huge curve. That's just my $0.02.

Along the same lines, has anyone ver thought of a roof spoiler like on the e46. I think it would add just that little extra to the civics.
Like this. ![]() Kinda Like this. ![]() And like this. ![]() Man I want one of these badly. |

I can attest to what BLAZTIGER has done for the sentra community, B15sentra.net, thevboard. As a former SE-R Spec V owner (now si) and member of both of the sentra boards, he has arranged for new parts to come on the market and even better, great GB pricing.
Blazetiger, I would be interesed in the CSL style CF trunk. |

As for the CSL trunk its still a possibility, but unsure of when. VIS wants to finish the fenders, side mirrors, and grille first before taking on other projects. |
