how do you remove the stock rear-view mirror?

there is a slot on the bottom, which i think you disengage a spring, then winggle up, but its not budging...any ideas? working on my first mod right now

3.3 Camlock Mirror Removal procedure: (Common Method)

" Grasp the base of the mirror.
" Rotate 90 degrees left or right.
" Slide mirror downward toward dash to remove.

darn, the mirror i have is a wedge style...

i stuck a screwdiver in, wiggled, puled upward on it, then rotated it 90 degrees and it came off.
