Are you planning on just removing the bottom portion of the grille and leaving it that way?

If so that won't work...the grill is help in by screws on the bottom and top.

If you want to just take out the grille and separate the bottom portion...

1. Pop your hood and remove the black plastic piece surrounding your hood latch.
2. Remove the bolts that are attaching the grille to the radiator support (2)
3.Then you should be able to flex the bump forward enough to reach behind the grille (if you have the right ratchet set) and loosen and remove the 10 or 11 screws holding the grill together.

Hmm....the bottom one on mine seems to be molded into place. Thats why I said I would probably have to cut mine.

edit: I'm an idiot. I've never had a reason to think about cutting or removing that grille. And the OP poor description and lack of pictures didn't help...

read, man. He's talking about the lower grill, below the license plate, NOT the one where the H sits.

Actually I did read, and I was just trying to help. But it's hard to help someone who doesn't post a good description or even a picture...

step one : take a few pictures to remember how your car looked before

step two : have alcoholic beverage chilled on the side

step three: bust out the dremel or other cutting tool (honestly i used a sharp pair of scissors... then later i busted out the dremel and smoothed it down)

step four : do work!

step five : step back and admire handywork

step six : open ice cold alcoholic beverage and enjoy

btw i only cut out that section because i hit a piece of 16wheeler tread on the freeway going 60mph so most of those plasic things were just hanging off. it doesnt look that bad if you only cut the vanes and not the whole thing. It'll look weird at first but it'll grow on you. I recommend (sounds ghetto but better than getting rocks in your condenser or radiator) using some mesh (i.e. chicken wire the really close kind that looks like the stuff you use on a screen door) to protect those pieces.
