Can someone please tell me what the little "vent" is that sits directly behind the right side of the steering wheel on the dash is for? Tried a search here but dunno what to call it. See pic. Sorry for the stupid question.

thats where the inside air temp sensor goes on the hybrid models that have auto climate control.

Thanks...so I am assuming it is non functional in the EX. Might have to find something to mount there.

It's non-functional. They most likely use the same dash mold for all the models to save money.

When I took apart the dash I didn't find anything behind it in my Si.

Maybe an auto-climate control retrofit is in order
