New Shift Knob from MonsterKnobs.com
Went from this: Skunk2
![]() To this: MonsterKnob ![]() Wow, what a difference! I had a TWM Short shifter and the skunk2 and it still didnt feel all that great as I thought it would. Yea, the throw was a bit shorter, but not what I expected. This Monsterknob is countersunk so it screws all the way down! And the material is suppose to not get hot or cold (I got it yesterday afternoon so I'll test how hot it gets today at lunch) Also, I never had a round shift knob and wow, this is so much better than the stock shape. Overall, I feel my shifts link better and I really feel connected to the car when shifting. Pros: - Looks great - Perfect Size - Doesnt get hot/cold in winter/summer - Countersunk - When screwed all the way down, sits about 1 inch lower than stock Cons: - Seems to get a little hazy looking when you use it from grease/dirt on your hands. But a little wipe w/ a rag and your back in business :] For $40 shipped, this was a great investment and now my shifting is fun :] And no, I dont work for nor was I paid to write this up, this is just how I feel about the product!

Its almost like a ball used for Pool. The 8 ball. You really cant see anything and if u do, just wipe it down and your done. Any black knobs will be that way though. If anything, metal ones are more of a pain because you will see it happen more on a shiny metal surface. The skunk2 got WAY to hot for me. And J, i am selling it but Wall_tico called dibs :] I posted it on the FS forums |

I had the skunk2 for like 2 months. Last week when it was steamin hot, I couldnt even touch the damn thing when I went out for lunch lol. I had to put a baby sock on it to shift. I hated that

any kind. I tried a white one lol. The problem is that it doesnt need direct sunlight for the knob to get hot. If the interior temp of the car was hot, the knob was gonna heat up too. I always park in the shade and the thing would still get hot :[

looks just like my weighted razo knob, definetly love the shape compared to the stock knob but since i sunk mine also if i slide the armrest forward it feels akward so now i dont get much use out of that feature
![]() i now have a red boot with black stitching under it and they look great together you should definetly look into it Last edited by Bandit03; 06-17-2008 at 12:48 PM. |

Did a temp. Check.
It was warm but it was in the sun. But it wasnt steaming hot where I couldnt grab it. It was just like a luke warm and im sure after a couple of minutes of holding it, it would cool down to regular temp. It def didnt heat up like the metal shift knobs though |
