Rick Spec'd Short Ram Intensity and Cold Air Intake Systems - New Lower Pricing

We decided to put up a new thread for the Rick Spec'd Intake Systems as the other thread was starting to get cluttered up some and confusing many people. We have been behind the scenes testing a variety of different setups and new products but we feel that the intake systems are best left alone as they are. They simply work the way they are and people are very happy with them so we decided it was best to leave it alone.

**** FAQ Section ****

1. Do I need Flashpro to run a Rick Spec'd Intake or can I use my stock ECU?
A. You will need Flashpro, period. You can upload simply the MAP Based, Stock Tuned Calibration which works very well with this intake system.

2. Do I need other modifications like header, exhaust to use a Rick Spec'd Intake System?
A. You "don't" need them, however, for the better of the car and platform we recommend a Skunk2 Header and 2.75" or bigger Exhaust System. Other headers will work as well but we prefer the Skunk2 unit.

3. I've seen on previous Cold Air Intake Systems, there is a slight rub on the hole which cuts the intake some after time. How can I fix this?
A. The new kits as they are being boxed now will include a rubber adhesive lining to install on the hole where the Cold Air System goes. This eliminates the rubbing caused by engine flex.

4. Will you be releasing a stock battery tray?
A. We have tried to do this, but the spacing that having the tray gives did not leave an appealing look that we would desire for our customers to have. We felt the Odyssey style battery tray was much more effective. Customers who have stereo equipment can run isolators so the draw is not on the smaller battery. So short answer, no, we will continue to only use the small tray.

5. Can I upgrade my cold air intake filter to one like the Intensity intake?
A. While you can upgrade for $50 more it should be noted that we haven't seen any major gains from this on the Cold Air System. Upon back to back testing and even between cool downs we noticed max 2hp. Intake Air Temps remained the same.

6. Can I remove parts to the packages?
A. We will not be shipping any more incomplete or "parts removed" packages. This has created problems with customers having missing parts in the past. All Rick Spec'd Intakes are being assembled like any other bigger manufacturer now. They will have boxes along with a sheet showing the contents of your package. Part # on the outside of the box as well.

7. I've noticed there is no hose for the Evap and for the Valve on the top right of the intake manifold. What do I put there?
A. NOTHING. The hoses that were there from factory were simply for emissions purposes. They serve no purpose at all and will not affect the car one bit.

8. Are Rick Spec'd Intakes CARB Legal?
A. Yes, but only if you don't get caught with it. JK, so the answer is no, they are not carb legal. However, my intake system is Patent Pending on all versions.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover Cards Online. Cash Pickups are also welcome. Due to the high volume of orders we have gotten lately on these intake systems, we have mass produced the items in house. As of Tuesday, March 20th we will have minimum of 20 of each part # on the shelf packaged up. As always, if you have any other questions I prefer you send me an email or pm. Our phones are always very hectic. If you send a pm, please allow me 24-48 hours to respond.

Thanks

Pricing has been set to what we felt was market value. By doing so, it allows us to in turn mass produce the item so nobody waits. The amount of power this system makes in turn makes it the most $1 for HP part for the community, PERIOD.

No other part besides Flashpro, which you would already have so that you can run these items will make more power with the exception of a nitrous kit.

I can testify to these products. The intakes are simply amazing. The build, quality, and looks of the intakes are above anything else. This is hands down THE best intake you can buy for your Si. If your hesitant or on the line about it just do it I promise you will not be let down one bit. I am 110% satisfied with mine and wouldn't change it out for any other one now. The power these make just cannot be beaten by another aftermarket system.

I highly recommend this unit if you are in the market for an effective intake that makes nice gains, and roars like no other. Oh yea, mine whistles too.

**I am running intensity, and love it***

Are there any fitment issues with the Short Ram Intake paired with a TBS (0.75 in, + approx. 0.25 in for gaskets)?

If this battery is anything like the buddy club battery that I have, you should be ok. I doubt Import would mate there product with a sub-par battery. I would have purchased theirs, however i got a better deal from a buddy of mine.

It is not rated for a stereo system though.

I'm running a tbs on my setup and it fits fine. Thanks so much rick! I loves this intake so much have gotten a lot of compliments on it and the catch can, really sets my engine bay apart.

My system is pushing 900watts Rms plus the relay harness from my HID's so I'm really concerned that the oddyssey battery may not suffice.

I've had my PC680 in Philadelphia. I drive my car every single day. No issues at all. So in short, they work.

Almost everyone's intensity is shipped. Some are missing odd and end things, which we are shipping within the next 48 hours. So sit tight! Cold airs are all shipped.

Should have more intakes ready to ship tomorrow. Working on catch can's and accessories today.

Then after that, we will have boxes of these packed up and ready to ship!
