Rockford Fosgate Punch bass knob

Does the knob make a difference? The stupid audio shop didn't install it and never gave it back to me

. I feel like there is a lack of bass even after tweaking the settings. Can someone with a fosgate punch give me some input on the overall affect of the bass knob?

It should be just like adjusting the gain on the amp. The shop should give that back to you it easy to hook up if you ever watned to
