Either you can use a resistor thay prob came with it or if you have a power test light put it between the wire and the cap for a few seconds, this will charge the cap and stop the huge spark you will get if you don't. hope this helps, and remember to discharge them if you ever take em out, by using the test light or resistor across both pos and neg terminals when the light goes out they are discharged.
