Just got 08 Honda Civic LX

Hi everyone. I just got myself a honda civic LX. (08)

It's ******* great. Traded my 06 ford focus in for it, and it's the greatest thing I have ever done in my life. Lol.

Now onto my question..
I want to put a speaker in, i already saw the DIY but
can somebody help me out here, i'm new to hondas so i'm not good wit installing a system in them..just american cars,

would somebody mind makin me a list for my car around the $500 area to put a system in (including all parts) i want something that will slam good. I don't want a bunch of junk! lol.

If you could put links with it i'd greatly appreciate it, cause as soon as you post it i'm going to look it over and buy it, sooner i get it, sooner i can install.

Head to the car stereo section on here and read for awhile. It will answer most of your questions

The Stock LX stereo is weak, 160 watts. If you want you can get the EX stereo, which is 350 watts. You will need an amp to power it. I have some stuff for sale if you want complete aftermarket. 500$ will get you the bare minimal, and you may luck out if you know how to shop around.

I don't see the point in upgrading without upgrading headunit, it will put out more RMS watts to power the speakers. (Tell me If I am wrong but dont yelll at me too much)
My new speakers are
Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. - SPR-17S

and

Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. - SPR-17C

The prices are high on that site but search google, I got them for $220 (all 4 speakers, components for front coaxial for rear), The amp I want is another 240, but you can always just get a headunit and the adapters. I already own a sub and mono amp, where you planing on adding a sub in your trunk?
