you can go all out and get a w7 or two but i would get (im actually looking for) one jl 12w3v2. 300rms is plenty for me. still leaves you trunk space
for speakers, i would get a set of mb quartz if you have no budget. get the premium or q series. much better mids and highs. i say stick to 2-way but others may say 3 way. |

I use nothing but JL and Focal. I would say a 10W6v2 in a 1 foot cube sealed box in the trunk wouls be more then enough and take up not space at all.I would go with
6.5 up front on a JL300/2 leave the rears stock and only run them off the deck 10W6v2 in a sealed box in the trunk running off a JL500/1 you will be able to get both amps under the front seats. PM me if you looking to get some of these things cheap

I would rock a 3some of JL 8W7's myself in a sealed box with a 250W amp to each. Running a set of 6.5 components up front (and a midbass with custom door pods) with the tweet mounted on the a pillar. Through a set of 6.5 2 ways in the reaer deck and call it good.

Be wary of this guy. He's suggesting you retain the rear stock speakers. No thanks! |

What kind of music do you listen to the most? Are you looking for a whole lotta thump (spl) or do you want clarity (sq)?
What do you mind doing yourself, install-wise? What are you capable of? I'm assuming you're not that experienced since you're asking for someone to put together a complete system for you. Are you going to have a shop do this for you? Give us as much info as you can. Suggestions are easier to make this way. |

Not trying to start any thread wars but...
IMO, there are MANY better brands then JL for both SQ and SPL. Granted JL does make very solid products which are reconized by almost everyone, JL also puts alot of money into promotion rather then research and design. FI, Image Dynamics, Morel, Dynaudio, Focal (which over the years has become very reconized), Digital Designs, RE, Zapco, Mcintosh, etc... is where i would invest my money. If your happy with JL then by all means follow your ears, Different strokes for Different Folks Again im not flameing on JL by any means im just giving my 2 cents to anyone who might listen. |

I agree with most of the above, but JL does put a lot of money into R&D. People focus too much on the w7 when they think of JL. They forget a lot of the other gear JL makes.
Like you, Shyn, I'm not trying to start any arguments. Just wanted to throw that in as well. |

The 300/4 is a great amp, tons of power and amazing sound quality for the bucks. The e-series has some good amps but the slash series are definitely worth upgrading to.
