Hella Supertones Horns

okay, I ordered these and will be installing them soon. I have pretty much read all the DIY on horn replacement but haven't found a clear answer to this question. How many people used a relay with these horns? Should I just go ahead and use a relay to be on the safe side? I've read of others having electrical issues or blowing fuses. As much as I would like to not use a relay, it might be the safe route. For those that have these horns, how did you wire them and any issues? Thanks

its been a year since i installed mine and its hooked up directly to the stock harness. so far no blown fuses. i've had the alarm go off and no problems.

okay, so it's good then. I'll go ahead and try it without the relay also.

So when you hit the lock button on your key fob, does the horn still sound or even chirp?

I wanted to change my horn, but was scared the door locking sound would be worse than it already is...
