Bummer.. Guess the 10w6 will have to be in a trunk box. A nice side-mounted fiberglass enclosure would be great, but makes the wallet scream OUCH! :)

as long as i can get either the kicker or mtx free air in there i'll be good. i just don't want to put a box in my trunk.

I saw a pic in here somewhere where they did it, but couldn't tell if they did any cutting, but that sucker was in there.

I should fit right in there. i doubt any cutting is needed. it is a shallow sub just like our stock ones. It only has a 2 1/2" mounting depth. the sub can take up to 500w max so if you really want to get some good kick out of it i'd suggest an aftermarket amp.

I'm going IB with a IDmax 12" which I already have in a sealed box for the time being. I'm about to order a 2nd and should have them installed in a few weeks. However, this install will be facing the cabin, with baffle bolted to the location where the rear seats fold up to.

One good 12" should do the trick if you don't mind installing it like this. You'll still have plenty of space and save some weight.
Hey bikinpunk.. you got any linkies to any pics of this in your setup?? I'm sure you're over at diyma... Did you end up doing this type of setup? I'm wondering about a fab'd under-deck baffle deal... or hanging a flat/shallow enclosure some how under OEM location maybe? I haven't messed around under there enough to see if it can be done though.

it'll be on DIYma by Sunday. I've got 8 guys coming to help me out... 4 of them are current or past SQ champs.

I'll be doing a total re-install starting tomorrow. Right now I have nothing in my car except for the driver's seat.

I'll be going with a wall facing into the cabin for my setup. I would do a hanging setup but I'm not about to start cutting torsion bars and to be quite honest, I'm not that worried about hiding them.

Yeah I peaked and appears there's some obstruction there under the deck... Man that little OEM sub is TINY..

That first gen 10w6 in-box on the shelf at home needs to find it's way in my ride I think... even if just a simple tap into the stock sub speaker lines, if temporary until the rest of the gear can be procured.
