speakers for Honda civic sedan 2008
Hi all,
I just got my Civic 2008 sedan EX-L and I am looking to replace my factory speakers leaving the factory head unit as it is. I was looking at these speakers and wondering whether they will be right fit for my rears and fronts? Front Amazon.com: Pioneer Car TSA1682R 4-Way 6-1/2 Inch Speaker with 280 Watts Maximum Power (50 Watts Nominal): Electronics Rear Amazon.com: Pioneer Car TSA6992R 5-Way 6 x 9 Inch Speaker with 460 Watts Maximum Power (80 Watts Nominal): Electronics Will the 6x9 work for the rears? And also wanted to know whether these speakers will give me good lows and highs? I don't want to do any modifications to my head unit/dash and also I don't want to go for an amp for now.So are these speakers recommendable? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance! Jingo |

Nix the 6x9's, won't fit. I got two of these: PIONEER TS-A1672R 6.5" 3-WAY 220W CAR SPEAKERS off ebay for better price. Also got the Pioneer 8" shallow. Awsome sound way better than factory and I'll be putting in my 6 channel amp this weekend. Watch out, nice clean music with decent low freq is what I am looking for. I'll be knockin' em out da box
. Try Ebay for your set, I even saw the 4 way here. Last edited by Aastan; 04-16-2008 at 12:50 PM. |

Does the EX-L sedan have tweeters? If they do, get components for the front instead.
I'm planning on getting these. CWM-6KIT - DRIVERS - Cadence Sound Systems, Inc. |

I'm getting an amp, usually the stock stereo wouldn't have enough power to drive aftermarket speakers. You can put the tweeters in the factory stock location for ease of install, but many people put them on the A pillar. You can do a search on the site to see pics of what others have done with their installs.
