my dealership is outta there mind...

i went to my parts department(only honda dealership in the area, unless i wanna drive like 5 hours) to order my nav bezel and they quoted me 50 bucks just the for the bezel. then i told them i could get it for 35 shipped from another honda dealer ship and they said no way and the best they could do was 45.... the only thing is, is that i need this piece buy friday cause i leave the state of california for work for 2 months and want to throw my new nav unit in before i leave. i called college hills honda and they said it would be there by monday or tuesday of next week. so i then went to my local audio installer(only have 2 then i would have to drive 3 hours to goto another one) to see if i could get like a metra or socshe and they wanted 50... but iv herd nothing but bad things about the metra so i passed.

any one have any reviews on the metra other than bad ones and how is the color on it compared to the stock color?

just pay the etra 10 bucks. shipping would probably be 10 bucks or more to get it from college hills hond by friday. Overnight is probably an extra 20 atleast. You live in a wierd area when you have to drive that far for those types of things. There are 5 dealers around me that i know of that are 30 minute away or less. And those are only the ones i know of.

Good luck Hunting for what your lookin for

If you can get it for 45$ right away i think its worth it, specially since you will be going on a long trip

I don't know about you, but I pay at least $10 shipping from hondapartsdeals/collegehills. I ordered some new clips for my door panels. The clips cost $6. The shipping was nearly $12. Last time I'll do that small of an order with any of those guys. In that instance I would've been better off ordering from my local dealer.

i live in arcata....

yea i just sucked it up and called them up to order it expecting to pay 45....but he said yesterday he gave me the price for the wrong piece and it was only 35.... so everything should be here tommorrow but i have have duty so install wont be till saturday.

but on another note i did some re search and found a guide to have the factory amp still be used by metra.

so i called them up to confirm it and they said just just a 12v power source to the blue wire like every one else has done and that you dont need rca's.

so i then asked my local installer what i should do and he really didnt even know what i was talking about. So he said just tap into and wire it regularly and that if i put rca's on the amp might not handle it but so many people have done it here and had sucess so i'm just gonna do the rca trick. cause i know it's the method that works.

oh heres the link to the metra quide.

http://documents.victorytechnologies...oduct/2250.pdf

note: after looking at what volvo9 posted up pictures of it looks like, there off by one pin its in the right aera, but the blue wire is one pin over, which should be pin 17.

i will be posting a little more clear DIY than white rices with pictures just so that the confusion is over with this.
