using the factory nav antenna mont.

hey is it possible to use the factory nav antenna mont to mount my pioneer gps antenna so i dont half to run it through the car?

Yes. thats where i got my nav antenna and it works fine.

it should don't quote me on it but usually when Honda decides something they make it all the same. easier that way. what head unit are you installing?

Make sure you make some kind of plate of block raises the GPS sensor. I used a folded piece of steel and placed it in there. It would loose reception a lot until I raised the GPS closer to the windshield. I used a AVIC-D3 btw.

i will be putting in a pioneer avic-d1 got it for 425 shipped from ebay not to bad.....thanx for the reply on the radio harness question....yea and making the bracket should be no problem cause i hae a metal shop at work that i use all the time, since im trying to make a new style license plate relocator so you dont have to drill any holes in the bumper.

just wondering if anyone knows where to buy the folded metal part that the antenna sticks on to. I checked on collegehillshonda and other online honda sites but they only sell it with the antenna.

There isnt a folded steel piece you can buy... I would get some scrap steel.
