Problems Installing Avic-D3 and NEED HELP NOW...

Everything is working great but on AC-2 (Ignition switch) and cranked I hear a hissing noise through all of my speakers. I used the OEM AMP with Whiterice's RCA to D3 solution to use the stock amp. I have been working on this for 12 hours now. It still hisses even when I turn the radio off. The only time it doesn't is on AC-1 the amp still works and everything sounds the way I wish AC-2 and cranked would sound... PLEASE HELP if you have anything to add. I have re-wired everything twice.

Thanks,
Stephen

THERE WERE 2 PEOPLE ON THE MAIN WHITERICE MOD THREAD w/ the same issues and no fix came to light.
D.I.Y. the long-awaited amp integration harness by Whiterice!

I have installed the D3 in a STI and a Mustang GT w/a premium stereo utilizing the stock amps with no issues.

Thanks in advanced for any help!

Yep, so it only hisses when it's in the on position but not when it's running on accessory.

I may install a little switch in the little plastic piece that pops out under the dash radio piece to turn off and on the amp when I'm not listening or take it to best buy tomorrow. I was hoping to hear some guidance before taking it to the geek squad (Never had to do that) = P

OR no tweets or sub normal /amp bypass ikes...

my advice would be to NOT take it to best buy...Too many horror stories for me to ever take anything there...this is just my opinion, maybe you know someone there. If not, my next piece of advice is to take it to a pro shop to have someone who knows what they are doing to have a look to see what the problem is. Not trying to be a smart a$$, just giving you advice on what I have seen/read.

Something just dawned on me lol would running the oem amp wire from a constant 12 instead of my current setup over the Avic-D3 Amp Remote Line make any difference in sound? (Since the D3 is impossible to completely turn off)

Just wondering trying to think of everything... Also, the sound doesn't go up and down from revving which leads me to believe the ground is more then good (On the chassis behind the radio)

Any ideas = P

I guess no one has any ideas... Looks like there is another person with the same issue above; even when going back to stock. I'm afraid this mod may have caused issues to the stock amp. About to head out and install the oem radio to see what happens.

I talked with a guy a circuit city. Going in at 3 they are going to take a look at it. They said they should be able to fix it or make it less noticeable. The also are going to put in my steering wheel PAC SWI... YEAH...

Will update this post when I get back. Hope to hear some good news. It scares me when a 100 something people look and don't comment LOL who knows when dealing with a D3 on a Civic OEM Amp premium system they all are very different. (And I trust my track record of about 5-6 flawless installs) he he he.

It is their (Circuit City's) smallest ground loop isolator. (There are tons of different makes and models outside of CC.

Also... Please make sure that you have the same issues.

1) Whiterice's mod with a fact/oem amp
2) No buzzing on AC-1
3) Buzzing starts on AC-2
4) Buzzing doesn't whine when cranked and pressing down on the accel.

Should be the fix for the above issue! Mine is perfect and sounded badass on the way into work. So happy now = P

Let me know if you need anything else!

Yep, exact same issue....going to see about picking up the parts today. One more question did they install 2 Gound Loop Isolators? 1 for the front set of RCA's and 1 for the rear RCA's?
