It's confirmed...version 6.56 is now out. Since I do not have the disc yet, instructions for this particular version have yet to be published.

Anyone looking to order a new disc can purchase it from Honda at http://www.hondanavi.com

Price is currently $185 + shipping.

yea i have that new version, and from my few tries i have determined that the current navi hack wont work. but from the sound of it it seems like there will be somebody who will figure it out once they get their hands on it

It depends on when your '06 was produced. The majority have v6.11C, but you can easily find out by ejecting your DVD navi disc and looking at the top of the label.

UPDATE!!!!!
the version 6.56a works flawlessly!!!! the key is to change the attributes of the 07AVN2.bin file so its not "read only".... the link for the instructions is below. post #9 gives you the full directions.

I use Photoshop on Vista and can confirm that CS, CS2, and CS3 work with no issues, at least for me.

That said, if you'd like me to convert the picture for you, send it my way and I'll be glad to help.

Acura? The Navi Hack has only been confirmed to work with 2006 and 2007 North American and Canadian Honda Civics.

I have an Acura CSX Type S (Canadian Version of the Si Sedan)
I just put my normal navi disc in and went back to the original splash screen. Only difference is that it has an Acura emblem instead of a Honda.

Ah, I see. Sorry, I seriously wish I could help you, but the hack is only verified to work with Honda vehicles. I'm sure the difference is minimal, but I don't have such a DVD and car to do any verification tests on.

Sounds like you will have to stick in you original navi DVD and re-update it so that your screen goes back to normal.
