2007 v.6.55

BIN:

07AVN2.bin

FILES:

OpeningBase.bmp
Navi_Title.bmp
Honda_Emblem.bmp

* Extract the 3 files from the BIN.

* Resize 2 out of 3 images to 1 pixel. If your background is coloured Red #ff0000, then I suggest to fill those 2 images with #ff0000, that way it will blend in.

* Edit the last bitmap to whatever you want.

* Update your BIN.

Old Guide

Note: It's pretty much the same as the 2006 Guide.

problem with hack for civic

Somehow i can extract navi_title.bmp and openingbase.bmp, but for some reason, it will not let me extract Honda_Emblem.bmp from the bin. I looked online to see if there were any guides on the hack for the newer civics but I did not find anything. Anybody have any advice? Thank you!
Rich

Navi hack help

Hi,

Has only one else been able to figure out the splash screen navi hack for the 07. The link listed below has reported that a couple of people have been able to do it for the 07 but when I try to find the additional files listed on the linked below I can not find them on the new navigation dvd 6.55 Curious if the rest of you guys have figured it out for the 07. Thanks for any help.

Navi Hack

I also had the same problem, I was able to extract 2 of the files but one of them (honda_emblem.bmp) did not extract for whatever reason. I am hoping somebody updates the old 2006 tutorials.

It's case sensitive. Make sure Honda_emblem.bmp is typed exactly like that (the second word is lower case)

I got my 07 Honda to work. I used this site http://navihack.jasonandrepont.com to do mine. I made a post on my blog here: http://binarypower.com/2007/03/2007-...navi-hack.html

that will show you what needs to be changed in order to hack it.

I did the same thing. Thanks to everyone for writing this up. But I just thought that I would clarify the instructions on BinaryPower.com. In step 7, when it says, "Change the command line to bysin 07AVN2.bin update OpeningBase.bmp OpeningBase.bmp." You also need to do the same thing for Honda_emblem.bmp and Navi_Title.bmp. So you do "Change the command line to bysin 07AVN2.bin update OpeningBase.bmp OpeningBase.bmp." Then bysin 07AVN2.bin update Honda_emblem.bmp Honda_emblem.bmp. Then bysin 07AVN2.bin update Navi_Title.bmp Navi_Title.bmp.

Now it works great!

Navi Hack Tutorial Update for 2007

Alright, updates and corrections have been completed for both the 2006 and 2007 versions. That is, version 6.11C and 6.55.

You can find the tutorial here.

Enjoy :)

...by the way, if anyone notices additional errors in the tutorial, please pass that info my way. Thanks

Did you forget to update the Navi_Title.bmp and Honda_emblem.bmp files with the ones provided in the ZIP file? If you still use the original bitmaps provided by Honda, both the emblem and navi title will continue to show up.

It works very very well. I love the red colored template (navi power). Now at least i have more color to choose from. Thank you for the great write up Jason. Thumbs up for you.
