I cropped your picture to fit the specs. If you only resize it, then the picture becomes distorted and doesn't look right. Cropping it means you lose a little bit of your original picture, but in the end it doesn't look like shit. Of course, I also added that extra symbol you asked for using Photoshop. Icing on the cake Quote:

hey I just found out that from version 6.55 and up the startup screen is made up of 3 pictures, one for background and the other 2 pieces for emblem and title..so what I need is a tutorial that explains how to actually make a 3 piece startup screen (just telling me how to set up the resolution/color depth for each would be a big help)

thanks to jason. i uploaded my fave bands cover art. children of bodom!!! here are some pics. btw, jason to clear up some stuff, add to ur tutorial 6.55 that in the update file u must add all three images by photoshop and when u double click splash screen and it updates the base image, u must then hit enter to update honda emblem and enter again to update navi sign. that was the problem i had with the green emblem and navi sign. thanks again for everything, if i can think of anyhing else to change ill post up here.

Glad it worked out for you
![]() As for your suggestion, I'll take it under consideration. I'm not sure how much clearer I can be in the tutorial since the batch file tells you in the beginning, "Step 1 of 3" and "Press and key to continue". I just assumed that those statements wouldn't equate to "there's actually only one step and close this window prematurely by hitting the red X on the top right-hand corner of your screen". If anyone has more suggestions, I'm definitely all ears.

i used one of the " splash screens" from Navigation Splash-Screen Hack Tutorial - 6.11C and that screen worked perfect. I opened that exact pic in paint, edited it ( so dimensions remained, saved it, and tried it, and it didn't work ( black screen ) i noticed in the properties that mine is saved by ms paint as 24 bit and everything says to make it 16 bit, but when i do that, it's degraded HORRIBLY... also.. the pics that you can downloand and use right off the tutorial, are in 96 dpi ( matrix ) or 32 bit ( red ice florish ) so im wondering how important those parameters are.
Can I email you my pic and have you convert it to 32 or 16 without it degrading in quality ? or make it work in whatever way its not right, Thanks in advance. Last edited by NA for now; 09-29-2008 at 12:58 PM. |

I believe that was custom-made by someone else. Sorry, but I don't have it.
